WatchMe is a community platform that lets users track the films and series they watch, maintain personal lists, rate and review works, follow other users, and discuss on a forum.

The service is offered free of charge, ad-free, on a community basis by the informal structure Ascencia, represented by Ahmed Karim.

WatchMe is hosted by Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 München, Germany.

Access to WatchMe is restricted to persons aged 15 or older. Minors under 15 may not create an account, in accordance with GDPR rules applicable in France.

Some features (personal library, lists, reviews, forum, follow) require an account. Public catalog browsing is available without an account.

Creating an account requires a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all actions performed from your account.

In case of suspected unauthorized use, contact us immediately at [email protected].

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Deletion is permanent and results in the irreversible erasure of your personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations.

By using WatchMe, you agree not to: post content that is unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, pornographic, child pornographic, or that infringes the privacy of others.

You also agree not to: impersonate others, spam, circumvent security measures, mass-extract data from the service (scraping), or use the service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

You retain full ownership of the content you post (reviews, lists, forum messages, etc.). By posting on WatchMe, you grant Ascencia a non-exclusive, free, worldwide license, solely for the duration necessary to display them on the service.

You represent that you hold all rights to the content you post and hold Ascencia harmless against any third-party claim in this respect.

Ascencia reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms, without notice.

In case of serious or repeated breach, Ascencia may suspend or permanently close the account concerned, without compensation.

The "WatchMe" brand, its logo, design, and source code are the exclusive property of Ascencia. Any reproduction or use without authorization is prohibited.

The project code may be published as open source under a dedicated license, available in the project repository.

Film and series metadata, posters, images, and descriptions come from The Movie Database (TMDB) and IMDb. WatchMe is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by TMDB or IMDb.

The service uses the TMDB API but is in no way an official TMDB product.

WatchMe is provided "as is", without any warranty of availability, completeness, or accuracy of data. Ascencia may suspend or discontinue the service at any time, for maintenance or any other reason, without notice or compensation.

To the extent permitted by law, Ascencia may not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of or inability to use WatchMe.

You are solely responsible for the content you post and for your use of the service.

You may terminate your account at any time from your settings, without cause.

Ascencia may terminate your account in case of breach of these Terms, after notifying you by email whenever possible.

Ascencia reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified by email or via an in-service notification in case of a material change.

These Terms are governed by French law.

Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory legal provisions applicable to consumers.
